In fact when it comes to gun control the left often justifies stronger methods by saying "it's worth it if it saves even just one life". Why don't they take that same attitude with the border?

In my view the wall is worth a shot as an experiment along with a decriminalisation of all drugs and trying to get these South American shit-holes to improve their economies, diplomatically of course.
As for the wall, It's not actually that expensive and I feel it could serve as a both a physical and phycological barrier to deter many beaners. The argument that some beaners would use garden tools to circumvent the wall is less relevant if more of them are discouraged.
My post said nothing about open borders. The point was...if the wall will save even just 1 life, going by democrat logic, isn't it worth it?

Why not trade the wall for the reinstatement of environmental protections, emmisions regulations, and undoing the removal of protections from parklands and preserves? At this point, we need to get people back to work, and compromising for a good cause would be a Democrat Grand Slam.

-Asylum seekers can only carry a limited amount of food and water, if they reach a part of Trump's great super wall and they're low on supplies, they could die by the time they go around. eg a child died while in Trump's border patrol hands due to dehydration. They failed to give someone water.
-Asylum seekers forced to try and go over the wall could slip and fall off and die. eg any of the various examples where people fell off of things and died
-Asylum seekers could be hit and killed by falling pieces of concrete because the project would largely go to Trump's concrete/construction buddies who will cut corners because they know no on will be looking. eg like when Halliburton overcharged the US taxpayers and Cheney sweep it under the rug
