Wayne (2019)
"Wayne, a 16 year-old Dirty Harry with a heart of gold, sets out on a dirtbike from Boston to Florida with his new friend Del to get back the shit-hot 79' Trans-Am that was stolen from his father before he died. An action comedy, it's John Wick via John Hughes."
"From the writers of Deadpool comes the story of 16 year old Wayne. He's a second generation, socially awkward, bully of bullies, with a heart of gold. He decides to take an unplanned road trip to Florida with his new friend Del, to get back his father's Trans Am, that his mother stole when she left them. With limited resources and nothing but the name of the city he thinks the car is in, he and Del face hilarious and heartfelt situations on their travels together down the Eastern seaboard."
Yet another Hollywood writer wank fest, with a self insert character who beats up all those "bullies", e.g. regular people who wouldn't put up with the socially awkward nerd with a victim complex's passive aggressive bullshit.
More or less the outline of every "Revenge of the nerd/bully the bully" plot, ever.
I'll probably still check it out, at some point.

Let them think what they want, let them define you in their narrow little minds while they suppress every last piece of them just to keep a friend that never liked them for themselves in the first place.
He's not a nerd though, he's more like an out and out psycho. The pilot episode explains this quite well I think. He's not a victim as such, just an angry kid who everyone fears.

I'm loving Wayne. Trying to watch only one episode at a time instead of rushing through it as I usually do, because each episode is excellent so far. Really didn't expect to enjoy it so much.
Wayne is anything but a nerd, everyone's scared of him cause he's ****ing crazy and regularly beats the shit out of people that hurt people close to him.
