Extremely deep and amazing film wrapping up over 20 films in an event film never dreamt of. Comparing that to the same plot of terminator to endgame is akin to comparing arithmetic to calculus.

Absurd. Thanos looks much better than Gollum/Caesar did. Much bigger film too than either of those franchises. You can pretend all you want but Thanos is the pinnacle of cgi/emotion conveying a character.
There was actually a large group of people who thought Serkis should have won an oscar for Planet of the Apes. Way better performance unless you think looking like a giant grimace with a nutsack for a chin and having the emotional depth of a potato is great then thats on you.
Sorry but the ape was great but is small time compared to the biggest franchise of all time culminating in the end of a 22 film arc. We see the depth of the character when faced with killing his most beloved daughter. We see the lengths he would go to achieve his goal. In the end he lost everything and was perfectly content. Not one bit of regret. Sure he is the villain but he was not a 2 dimensional I am out for power alone type character.
Thanos is not a clown that is Pennywise from the It franchise. Yw.
That's where you are wrong. It would have been more emotional and impactful if he wasn't perfectly content and without regret. For example when Stannis sacrificed Shireen in GoT. That was much more impactful a scene than Thanos killing Gamora
But I get it its the biggest movie ever so by default it's the best at everything.
He sacrificed everything and was in mourning. We hear mantis reiterate that so despite all this we understand even further he is willing to die for the mission. He is satisfied by seeing himself killed because he knew he achieved his mission. He was not only willing to kill Gamora but lose his own life to balance the universe.
You of course cannot relate because you lack true passion about anything in your life. I enjoyed these two films more than any in my lifetime. They are my favorites. Success is just bragging rights.
