I guess the Wachowskis have failed too hard to spark other franchises, so despite flat refusing anymore Matrix films in the past they are returning to it after all.
Never let anyone else define you. Don't be a jerk just to be a jerk, but if you are expressing your true inner feelings and beliefs, or at least trying to express that inner child, and everyone gets pissed off about it, never NEVER apologize for it. Let them think what they want, let them define you in their narrow little minds while they suppress every last piece of them just to keep a friend that never liked them for themselves in the first place.

I found this movie boring AF with some rare good scenes. Interesting concept but not an entertaining view. And many things in this movie have becomes cliché at this point.
With the curent SJW trend, I was expecting some woke replacement and this movie was as expected in that area. I am glad it was Trinity and not some transgender mixed-race gal and that Neo wasn't killed off to make way for the new protagonist.
The new Morpheus and Smith do not have the charm or screen-presence of the previous actors, though they are good in their own way.
The meta scenes mocking WB was fun, but it went for too long.
The detailing in some scenes were good.
Zombie scenes were fun.
Action sucked.
Smith's final scene was nice.
Merovingian was a joke.
The Analyst was meh.
However, the worst part of the movie and the most blatant, disgusting SJWism in it is making the Analyst a misogynst. Seriously, why would a machine be biased against specific genders? There is not an iota of logic in that aspect of the character and is simply the worst symptom of the wokisn disease.
Overall it deserved the massive flop it became.

Ah, as a Matrix film defender, I appreciate a little more depth instead of just, "It sucked." You're already 10x more intelligent than most of the people who post here, so for that I commend you!
But is there a line that the Analyst said that makes you think he's specifically a misogynist? Because I've watched the film 3 times so far and I don't recall such a line.
And as for any "woke SJW" stuff, I also don't get that accusation. Remember the original Matrix films did a diverse cast before it was trendy or "forced" into movies for demographic or whatever reasons. It just fits the world. They even wanted a "double-gender" character in M1, but the studio shot it down (hence the name Switch). Give Lana credit for not just cramming in some unnecessary trans character. Something like that could have justified the unnecessary "woke" accusations you're making. She's smart and likes to have a reason for things. Also, see Sense8. It features an international cast, straight, bi, trans, you name it. But they're well-written. That's the key. The majority of that cast is in (or referenced in) Resurrections.
And the Meta stuff. Look, I'm convinced now (especially after hearing an interview from the Wachoskis from a few years ago) that Lana was going for sort of a Modern art effect with this film. It's still a linear continuation of the series, but also a Meta commentary on film as a construct, as a MATRIX. And especially big studio films as a construct. It's actually pretty incredible that she was given the freedom to do this. It's remarkable. And they're continuing to deconstruct their own creations throughout the series (this time bullet time being used against Neo and Trinity). They're playing with expectations. It's smart writing, like it or not. Just like the reveal in Reloaded that Neo was the 6th "One." It deconstructed the savior expectation.
The action wasn't ground breaking, sure (Although I still argue that a lot of it is still visually fun and exciting). They're mainly copying themselves with flips and wall walking and breaking thru concrete, etc. But audiences are jaded. We've seen everything done before in Marvel movies or whatnot. So why try to outdo it?
Just before Smith comes to save the team, The Analyst says:
Women used to be so easy to control
Then 2 lines during the clinax
If you hated the name so much, why did you heel like a good little ***** so long?
Can't you control her?
As far on the SJW topic, I said I was glad they didn't shoehorn much of it. Remember I said I was glad it was Trinity and not just random new SJW icon. I didn't say a single word on their ethnicity, which I couldn't care, and as you said, which were from the beginning cast in a realistic manner.
On Sense8, I've tried to watch it but its not my cup of tea.
