Hey there are people here that do have a hate boner for the man.
MOS was a solid flick, with few little problems, with Jonathan’s death being the biggest. But till this day, people are still crying because of the destruction of metropolis. Or the death of Zod. Superman has killed so many times in the comics, but him killing Zod is a bad thing now.
BVS ultimate cut was also solid. With its biggest problem still being the Martha scene, and the introduction of Doomsday.
JL’s only problems were when the queen ran up the wall to slice the parademon, the Martian Manhunter being shoe in, Barry and Iris scene which looked creepy, and the nightmare scene.
JL is still better than
Age of Ultron
All 3 Thor’s
Captain America the first Avenger
Captain Marvel
Iron Man 2, 3
Hulk
Dr. strange
endgame
You're a dc stan/snyder bot, i hate your kind with a passion. Avengers flows naturally. as I was watching the Snyder Cut that I don’t feel any kind of excitement or emotion or anything from any of his movies. Nothing grabs me. I have no investment in his characters, no emotional attachment to them. It’s all paint by numbers.
Gorgeous scenery, but it's all emotionally hollow, be that from a combination of poor plotting, editing, or his insistence on making every single scene strain to be so dramatic.
Also, I hate the way he depicts Flash’s speed. It’s either slow motion stretched to interminable lengths or it’s all lightning flashes and poses scattered here and there. You never see him actually moving or doing anything at super speed.
I get that if one were to actually see Flash move, it might appear as though he were teleporting or something, but as the audience, we need to actually be able to see what it is he’s doing at superspeed in order to appreciate how fast he’s going.
The Arrowverse has it’s flaws, but The Flash does a much better job of conveying superspeed even though they have a hopelessly smaller budget and vfx team than Snyder was working with.
Any Marvel movie beats Snyder's cut. it was garbage, and the fact you co signing the ****ery just shows you need to seek help.
Avengers is a solid story, with a well earned emotional payoff of multiple character arcs and relationships. It's the earned reward of a decade of storytelling and more or less solid movies. JL isn't that.
Snyder padded the movie out with filler to make it 4 hours. His incessant and obsessive use of slow motion and drawing scenes out way too long honestly probably added about 20-30 minutes to the movie. The. The Epilogue was trash and unnecessary. That was what, another 10-20 minutes? There was probably close to an hour of material in this movie that wasn’t needed to tell the story.
It set up too much to just ignore. If the movies ignore [SPOILER - highlight to read]: Darkseid coming for the Anti-Life equation and the alternate future, then it can't be canon.
On the other hand, WB clearly have no plans for Justice League on the big screen anytime soon, and when they eventually do get there it will be a very different cast, so I guess it's possible to carry on the Snyder verse Justice League series as an alternate canon and as a HBO series. But even that would be hard given Affleck, Cavill and Fisher aren't supposed to be coming back, so would he recast half the JL to carry it on as an HBO exclusive alternate canon? It's doubtful.
You know, you’re one of the reasons this place sucks so much. The fact that you deemed to called others brain dead because they have different taste than you.
AoU introduced new heroes in better ways, Wanda, Pietro and Vision.
Better villain. Ultron’s plan was ambitious AF and wasn’t simply the same ole tired world destroying or world dominating villain trope that’s been used 183663277272 times. His ultimate goal was the protect the Earth.
Some cool character beats, emotional content and lots of personality on display for the characters.
But somehow according to Squall, JL is "better" than it
