Well, I know a lot of Democrats supported the rioters laying siege to a federal building. If I recall correctly the mayor even showed up to the siege and hung out with the rioters. Also, didn't the governor approve of the group of extremists that took over 6 city blocks. I believe she referred to the weeks-long occupation as a Summer of Love
Edit: personally, I find both sides were wrong.

There is one difference, democrats supported the rioters who attacked a federal courthouse and took over 6 city blocks. whereas, nobody is supporting the rioters who breached the capitol building.

Who justified the riots in George Floyds name? I dont recall anyone here doing that.
But if you really want a difference, I guess I can explain the obvious for a sec.
One was mostly peaceful protests, stemming from minorities being egged on by a brutal murder of one of their own, where there was at least some kind of reasonable demand there they were protesting to “stop police brutality” and to treat blacks equally because their lives also at least “matter”... but then leading to scum among them turning violent, and other scum with them taking advantage to loot.
The other was just dumb stupid people brainwashed and egged on by the President of the U.S. being a sore loser. Where the demand was f*** democracy we are attempting a coup. Everyone of them scum, not a single one peacefully protesting. And why? Because.... they love racism and fascism. They love Trump.
So yeah almost exactly the same.
Now we can argue the scale and length of these things were very different, and certainly there the BLM riots were a much bigger problem, no doubt. But just put into perspective what was going on in both situations. Its really not difficult to get.
We can start with the mayor that called the cops off and allowed the 6 city blocks to be occupied for weeks, or the mayor that went down to the federal courthouse and stood with the rioters.

yeah that is true. Though people will try and say BLM protests are peaceful. Tell that to the people who was killed and countless people who had the crap beaten out of them for no reason and their living destroyed.
