The fact that "Good" exists, is not proof that God is Good.

God is described as being good.

Theists will point out the fact that good exists, is proof God is good.

And not evil or incompetent as some argue.

Here's the issue I have.

Consider charity.

We can all agree that charity is a good thing.

If I donate money to a food bank, that's charity and it goes to help people in need.

The problem is, charity is in response to a need, in this case hunger.

People needing charity to feed themselves is not a good thing.

Because people starving is not a good thing.

So a good act (charity) existing to correct a non good situation (starvation) does not show that God is a good being.

If God were good, he would not allow starvation to happen in the first place.

Millions of people die every year due to starvation..

God is not good.

As long as one person lives to tell their story God will immortalize even their dust. God is good.

I understand your concerns, OP. The problem of theodicy or vindication of God has been (and still is) bothering me for a long time.
Why is there so much evil and suffering on Earth if God supervised it? How can He allow this all to happen, and how can He at all look at all this and don’t do anything? These are the questions I looked for the answers to in different churches, including the apostolic church and others.
Unfortunately, I cannot say that I’ve found the answer for myself. The closest one I’ve got was about how God is suffering with the people, but some kind of higher knowledge makes Him not stop it all.
