I don't think honest debate online is a real thing-- at least not in a place like this. Anytime you are talking to someone here, they are able to act like they don't know facts about history, old or recent, that everyone trying to discuss the issues should know. So you get bogged down arguing about established history.it's way too easy to set up strawmen arguments online, because it might be two hours later when the other person says, wait, I never said.
Finally, right and left live in two different worlds now. The news we read literally says different things. Honest debate is impossible when we keep throwing up articles that the other side automatically says "lies" too.
We couldn't stop a man from having an entire presidency based on the principles in this post. Still haven't stopped the lies. Why do we think we could do it on an anonymous forum? Anyone can say anything is true with absolutely no filter. It's sad,but true. And honestly, I don't know if America will ever fix the schism we have opened. We'll certainly never figure out how to have a debate on a forum where every other poster is happy watching the whole attempt burn.
Then I guess it isn't one. You would have to be with us. As it is, with you here, it just means we have a majority and a minority. That's pretty normal. I suppose if you don't post anymore, you'll be right... But that's a phyrric victory if there ever was one... I hope you don't choose that, I actually like your posts. Don't always agree, but they add to the forum in a positive way.
