Nothing like the ol classic tale of Schrödinger's Carlson. When Tucker is inside your tv he can be both a journalist and not a journalist at the same time.
laughing out loud Schrodinger's Carlson [csm]lUghcry]/csm] brilliant!

If the NSA are found innocent, Carlson could get sued for slander. Oooh, ethneo’s reaction would be interesting.

Tucker's defense is basically: "Tucker is just a clown and any reasonable person would not take him seriously."

Yeah, but this is Rand Paul who called for this. Is he going to be the next “RINO” because ethneo lost again?

The claim from Tucker Carlson is that the NSA is spying on him and Rand Paul is calling for an investigation based on Carlson's claims, yeah?

In this case, Trumpers will side with Carlson/Rand and do their "something, something, deep state" or similar rants.

Pretty much.

Think of it this way: The opinion section of the newspaper is held to a different standard than the news sections. All pundit are "opinion".

Or that's the standard defense.

Which I won't say slander charges can't stick though, we shall see.

Paul is a constitutional republican. He’s not like Trumpers.

I don’t think that qualifies as spying. Saying a person’s name regarding what you’ve described as “conversations” is not spying. I could say Robtard said some shit about Carlson. That doesn’t mean I’m spying on robtard or robtard is spying on Carlson.

So the NSA can absolutely listen to calls made to foreign countries that are of concern BUT they are not supposed to release the name of US citizens in said call.

So yes the NSA did absolutely breach the protocols meant to protect US citizens apparently Tucker was trying to get an interview with Putin.

I’m so confused. An investigation is not spying. Ffs.

It wasn't an investigation, Tucker tried to reach putin for an interview, it flagged the NSA which then intercepted his call. That's a tried and true practice it's legal. What's not legal is releasing the name of the US citizen that made the call, calling for an interview isn't illegal, NSA capturing the call isn't illegal, NSA releasing the name of the US citizen isn't legal.
