It took all free will and chance out of the story. Now Paul didn't even pick the name muaddib. It was forseen long ago. It was also foreseen/planned that he would meet chani specifically. It turned the prophecy into something absolutist and laughably specific. contrives the story into pretend-cerebral rubbish imo

They need to take a sharp turn with the precience/prophecy writing in order to make an opening for the god emperor, who cannot sensibly exist in a universe where magic is real and/or actual god is there pulling strings.

The special features and behind the scenes on this disc are pretty sweet. Much better than Part One's special features.
The locations they filmed at are breathtaking, and it makes a big difference on screen I think. More filmmakers need to avoid green screens as much as possible.
I don't think so. It seems to be Villeneuve's thing to not reveal deleted material.
You know, I actually am okay with it. It's better not to see deleted stuff and think, "what could have been." He makes cuts for the betterment of the story and flow of the movie and you can't argue with his final products. They flow flawlessly.
Right. That's the speculation! I wonder if the studio is pushing him to get right on it. It could be something else, though.
I honestly was kind of hoping he'd let Timothee and co. age up a bit. 12 years need to pass (if I remember correctly). And Timothee still looks like he's 20! He better at least gain some weight.
