A top to bottom stupid family producing someone like Sheldon is literally impossible. He'd need to be adopted, or his mother would have needed to cheat with Albert Einstein.

The wife and I mostly power-watched 'The Big Bang Theory' during the shutdowns, it was a fun show, not great. I's one of those shows you can passively watch while doing something else and it's fine, you won't miss the plot.
^^^Its not bad.
I only watch it sparodically, but it does get watched in my house so I’m pretty up on it.
Being a prequel makes it kinda interesting at times when they touch (or don’t touch) on things mentioned on BBT. Sheldon discovering comics was cool.
He and his dad took a trip to California and wound up at Caltech, where he stood in the cafeteria and we saw what his regular table looked like back then.
Sheldon’s mom on BBT is played by Laurie Metcalf and her RL daughter plays his mom on Young Sheldon. (please log in to view the image)
Annie Potts as Sheldon’s meemaw is a scene stealer; she dates Mr. Incredible and Vizzini. Inconceivable!
