As authorities go through the murderer’s social media history and talk with people he interacted with online, it’s looking more and more like this is yet another incel attack.
Your Lord knows very well what is in your heart. Your soul suffices this day as a reckoner against you. I need no witnesses. You do not listen to your soul, but listen instead to your anger and your rage.
The rumour that he was trans appears to have started on the fringe message board 4chan, and in particular the /pol/ or "Politically Incorrect" board, which has for years been associated with the far-right and mass shootings. -snip
Users posted an image of a trans woman who slightly resembled Ramos, along with a link to her Reddit profile, and baselessly claimed she was the gunman. -snip
It didn't take long for the claim to migrate to other, larger social platforms, and it began to be repeated by far-right and right-wing activists and politicians.
Conservative activist Candace Owens claimed there were photos of the gunman "cross-dressing", and claimed this was evidence that "there were plenty of signs that he was mentally disturbed".
Republican congressman Paul Gosar, of Arizona, repeated the trans claim in a tweet that he later deleted. Mr Gosar also called the gunman, who was born in the United States, an "illegal alien", although Texas governor Greg Abbott, also a Republican, stated that Ramos was a US citizen. -snip
"We know already fool. It's a transsexual leftist illegal alien named Salvatore Ramos. It's apparently your kind of trash.” –Paul Gosar via Twitter, later deleted
But Sam - not her real name - wasn't the only trans person targeted by false stories. Images of Sabrina, another trans woman, appeared in photo collages alongside the actual photo of the gunman, with similar false claims.
She posted an image of herself holding her phone with the time and date visible to prove she was alive after the shooting. And another trans person's image which also appeared on 4chan later popped up in far-right spaces, including conspiracy theorist Alex Jones's Infowars website. -snip
I mean watch Farhenheit 911 or Dark Legacy 2 (The Assassination of JFK Jr) to see how the mainstream media change their stories to protect powerful people rather than hold the accountable or blatantly lie like the Daily Mail whom I recall had a headline that said "first man in Britain to die from Cannabis" when the article even admits he died of a heart attack after smoking a joint ie no connection.

Eh, I think it was less the Right trying to protect this apparent incel, than it was to jump on any opportunity to spread lies so they can attack transgender people and immigrants, two groups they loathe.
glad that nobody here was helping to propagate that bullshit

Im confused. So Rightists thought if they say the shooter was Trans then they would absolve gun laws ?
Well sorta makes sense I guess. I mean if this was a Muslim shooter (mentally ill or not), then the shooting would have nothing to do with guns. Itd all be about Evil Islam.
They wanted to push a transgender = insanity and an anti-immigration angle, again. Different day, same antics.
Anyhow, it's looking more and more like the Texas police might have actually committed possible crimes by not engaging the shooter, there's 911 calls of children saying they were shot are bleeding and need help during the 90+ minutes of police inaction, who then were later found dead.
F**king Governor Greg Abbot praised the police. What a clown.
You know, looking at the information on this shooting, the amount of red flags flying by should have been caught by now.
1. The shooter was trouble at school and it slipped through the cracks.
2. He was on Yubo being a complete sociopath, but that isn't something he can be investigated from because it's a foreign social media app.
3. He was dodgy as **** at work, and inappropriate to people at his job.
4. By virtue of being 18, he went and bought weapons, and then hundreds of rounds of ammunition.
There's a lot of factors involved with every mass shooting, not all of them the same. But there's usually some kind of red flag waving going on well beforehand. I remember reviewing the Fort Hood shooting way back, and how Major Hassan got promoted despite doing stuff that should have had him under heavy investigation, and went on to attack Army personnel that were largely unarmed not long after. He also was active on social media holding questionable views, failing performance reviews, and protesting deployment out of reasons of personal views (in his case, religious faith).
Setting up systems to catch people who are risk for committing these crimes isn't easy and I won't claim to have the answers here, but it's pretty obvious a lot of this stuff is able to be detected a bit early, instead of the answer being "Teachers need to be Rambo" or "Cops need to not be scared".
Also, check out this gem:
Ramos' mother said she had no explanation for her son's attack on the school but that he "had his reasons for doing what he did and please don't judge him. I only want the innocent children who died to forgive me." His father apologized for his son's actions and said, "He should've just killed me, you know, instead of doing something like that."
Abbot backtracked after the story of the cops being pure shit couldn't be contained? How shocking.
18, old enough to buy two assault rifles and hundreds of rounds of ammo without even a waiting period, but not old enough to buy a beer. We have a ****ed up system, more so in some states.
In the US, you can kill a man with your own gun before you can get drunk or use nicotine. And in some of the more gun-toting states in the country, weed is worse than either of those at any age.
