If they can't win the long game, logically that means they lose a war of attrition.

Because the US feeds Infinity money and far more advanced weapons.
Which is resulting in a stalemate at best, and incremental losses at worst. How long will NATO fund them though? What happens when the US needs to ramp up its war machine for its own problems?
Ukraine will hold out as long as Nato supports them, while Russia can hold out as long as they need to.
From this point of view, one might wonder if Ukraine is essentially being used to vastly weaken Russia without committing any troops of our own.

Russia didn't hold out as long as they needed to in Afghanistan. It was one of the 2 main factors that collapsed the Soviet Union. The other being the costs of Chernobyl. They will crumble within a decade. If not long before.

NATO:s acts of aggression against Russia. And against CHINA. The Ukraine/RUSSIA war is a REGIONAL conflict, much like the American civil war. Similar conflicts happen throughout the world, by what right do we meddle in this conflict?

When Biden warned that Russia was likely going to invade Ukraine, the Rightwing news, talking heads and many politicians here said he was 'fear mongering'. I'm sure they'll do the same with this warning.
I don't think this is the end. But Putin raging and using a small nuke on Ukraine out of butthurt because his "two week operation" is a year+ in now, it's possible, but I don't think it's likely.
