My favourites are Legolas and Gimli, I love the little jokes they share. But Gollum's really funny too and Arwen's cool, Eowyn gets on my nerves just a little bit.

i don't know why tolkien make legolas goes off with Gimli.
and i know maybe he wanted to show that the row between the elves and dwarves r over, and that opposites can attract and work together blah blah blah...... but still there r other ways.
i mean, the ring is destroyed, the dark lord is killed, the kingdoms of middle earth is united, the king is returned to the throne, the world have peace, and what did the elven prince of mirkwood do?????????????

I think Tolkien wanted to add a bit of nostalgia....he was a bit depressive in his writings.....He left a lot too to our imagination, so....cheer up! Let ur imagination run wild!

omg, legolas is sooo the best in the movie, he is soooooooooo hot and even though he says the most obvious stuff, he is still kool! + he is the soooo much hotter in pirates that No one can resist!!! + i think that jackson was really good at making the sets lik the movie! #1!!!

I mean, Gandalf is a Maia, he is at the same level as sauron. He's powerfull, etc, etc. and his horse (shadowfax) is just the coolest.
Now it was so hard to pick only one favorite. The truth is that I love almost ALL of them. I mean Aragorn! IMG, he's got to be the coolest human since the times of the creation of the world. back when the Valars were still around to talck to people. He's the bravest, remember when in FOTR he is talcking to Frodo (right b4 the end) and all the Uruk-Hai come rushing in and he just sends Frodo off and turns around to face them all on his own!? WOW! Legolas is the best! (he reminds me of Barry Peper in Saving private Ryan.) Frodo, I have to agree is just to gay in the movie (not that I'm a homofobic, not at all), but I liked him much better in the books. Merry is cool. Pippin is just SO funny, I just love him. Sam is so loyal and brave.

Arwen is just SO f*** HOT! I love her. But I have to agree with the thing about the poster. I think is b/c Jackson knows she atracks. But she had no reason at all whatsoever to be in TTT and very litle (much less than she did) in FOTR. I guess PJ whanted to add some romance to the story. But I don't really dislike what he did atall though, I think she's great.
Could someone remind me? who was haldir? is he the elve who comes to the rescue in TTT movie? or the guy that recives Frodo, the other hobbits and Aragorn in FOTR (the book I mean), when they get to Rivendel, 'cus he's cool too!
Treebeard is great. Eomer is great! Now, about Boromir, I do also love the way he foght bravely at the end of FOTR, but is I had to choose betwin the brothers I'd pick Faramir. I think he could be just as brave and fight as well, but he is also a lot wiser and kind (more like a real king). Gollum is great too. I mean there's just to many to choose from. I can't do it, I just can't.

Actually, Haldir was in the extended of Fotr to a larger extent...he WAS the elf that greeted the fellowship in the woods of Lothlorien, b4 they go to see Galadriel and Celeborn....AND......he is also the elf that shows up at TTT for the battle at Helms Deep to help them.....He's the same dude...or elf!!!!

i'd have to say my Favorite's are Merry and Pippin! Love those Troublemakers..
and I Love Thranduil...and Samwise..so brave! and Frodo for carringthe Ring..And Aragorn because he can actually fight..really well..Legolas because he's a great Archer...and I don't just like him because he's 'hott' and..Gandalf because he defeated the Balrog. And even though Gimli is a bit dirty, like Dwarves are..he's a great fighter, he just has his own style. I LOVE Galadriel and Celeborn, Celeborn was 14 feet tall..I love Bilbo, and Gollum, and Smaug and Shadowfax, and ..EOWYN! I LOVE HER! She actually fights..and kicks the shit outta the witch king..unlike some idiot prissy elves I know who are Scene Stealers. Notice I didn't Mention Arwen as one of my favorite Characters? There's a reason for that.
