Here's a movie that will be on AMC Wednesday night. The Natural starring Robert Redford & Glen Close. I had forgotten this little gem until I saw it advertised to be on AMC. Something about this movie just releases a pure feeling in me!

Just thought of two more that I actually like, considering one was on cable last night:
The Peacemaker: Kidman and Clooney actually share the screen pretty well.
Strange Days: Ralph Fiennes, Angela Basset (looking pretty good in the flick too, might I add), Tom Sizemore, Michael Wincott and Vincent D'Onofrio. Unfortuantely has Juliette Lewis in it as well, whose pouty demeanor doesn't help the fact that she can't act her way out of a Hefty Steel Sak. Still, great movie taking place around the 2000 New Year.
Gender: Unspecified Location: in with the green trees of the Pac
Documentaries
(I love documentaries, so I have many suggestions, if anybody else any suggestions I'd love to hear them)
"Stevie" - depressing movie by the same guy that made "Hoop Dreams"
"Brother's Keeper" - about 4 brothers in their 60's and have lived in a shack their entire lives, one is accussed of murdering one of his brothers.
"The Fog Of War" - A movie about Robert McNamara's (Secretary of Defense during most of Vietnam) memoirs, really important movie. "Farneheit 9/11" is the bastard child of this movie. An Erroll Morris film.
"The Thin Blue" - Quite possibly the most influential documentary of the past 30 years, as far as style and cinematography goes. Also an Erroll Morris Film. This is an investigation on all sides of a murder case in which a man was convicted of killing a cop. Gets slow at times, but Morris does an amazing job telling the story with editing and the different clips he uses and re-uses over and over again. A true must see.
"On the Ropes" - Like Sports? Like Boxing? Then watch this.
Fiction
"The Station Agent" - Slow paced but if you find slow developing jokes humorous this movie will get you. It's also mainly about a midget and a hot dog vendor.
"Jesus's Son" - A drug movie, the main character is named F*** Headd. And the kicker is that Jack Black is in this movie, only for like 15 minutes, but his role in this movie is way funnier than any other movie. If you dig Jack Black the 15 minutes he's in it for is worth watching it.
"American Splendor" - Do you have a quirky sense of humor, Do you have a gloomy outlook on life, or do you just love comic books? Story about Harvey Peckar, a sometimes voiceless, always depressed, underground comic book legend/file clerk. Not nearly as slow as "The Station Agent", but doesn't get most of i's laughs of slap stick, but still is really funny. It's a Bio-pic
"M*A*S*H*" - I'm always surprised to hear people say, "that was a movie too?" Yes, MASH was originally a movie and it was absolutely hysterical, there just weren't any hairy men that were dressed up like women in the movie.
"Wet, Hot, American Summer" - Remember all of those F*** you stupid summer camp comedies of the 80's? Well this is the sarcastic tribute to all of those terrible films. Comedy Central just picked this guy up and has been showing it every now and then.
"High Fidelity" - yea I know it's well known. The music hipster's movie of choice.
"Metroplex" the quote is: "it's not the size of the boat, but the MOTION of the ocean", not flow
and my favorite movies are:
Almost Famous
Braveheart
My Girl
The Friday After Next
The Butterfly Effect
Unless you've been sleeping under a rock for the past 25 years, "Star Wars", "Almost Famous", "Braveheart", "My Girl", "The Butterfly Effect", and "Black Hawk Down" are all very well known movies.
If you guys aren't familair with movies, that you know are somewhat obscure, don't bother participating, otherwise you're just going to catch hell for being ignorant.
