Angry The Ring/Ringu

Alright i saw the japanese version of "The Ring" today, i see the american version followed it pretty close but i must say it wasnt scarey at all compared to the american version which i must say was pretty good in scaring the audience. evil face

1°) It is not the japanese version...it is the original film..
2°)The american version was done to adapt to the american audience (and because Hollywood likes to remake good foreign movies).

I've only seen the Japanese one and I think that it is not really a scary movie, but rather a 'tense movie' (sorry if that doesn't make sense), i.e a mix of suspense, tense, an horror). So to my mind the aim of the Japanese film wasn't to scare, whereas (it seems) the aim of the American one was .

Yeah i know the japanese one is the original, i just meant that i saw that one and it wasnt scarey really as compared to the american one, which i guess is more entertaining. The kid in the american one is scarey no doubt.

never seen the japanese one, the american one was very over rated and extremely un-scary

Well for me, i know that it was the whole build up for the movie towards the end, it was a good thriler definatly, and hehe for 2 days afterwards i guess i kept imagining seeing things coming out of my tv screen geek

I've only seen Ringu, and it was good, best bit by far was the TV scene, shot incredibly well. Cant be bothered to watch american version, but really wanna see all the sequels and prequels to the original.

I thought that the original was excellent. Recently, i bought the trilogy and i thought that the final 10 minutes of Ring 0 was superb. The entire trilogy cost less than the american version of Ring and all 3 movies were superior. I also bought The Eye, which i understand is getting the Hollywood treatment. Not as captivating as Ringu, but well worth the watch.

Barf the best Ringu japanese version

Ringu japanese version has the best story than the american version. Besides japanese version has the original story. I like ringu 0,1,2 but the story is somewhat complicated. It was scary and that night I saw that movie ,I imagine Sadako in my room.
