Joy Bryant Joins Jessica Alba And Lil' Romeo

Joy BryantJoy Bryant has joined Jessica Alba and Mekhi Phifer in "Honey" for Universal Pictures and director Bille Woodruff, reports The Hollywood Reporter.

The project, which is lensing in Toronto, is a music-driven coming-of-age drama about an inner-city woman (Alba). She fulfills her dream of becoming a successful video choreographer until an unforeseen setback causes her to discover greater satisfaction in creating dance with neighborhood kids. Bryant will play Alba's best friend, while Phifer plays Alba's love interest. Young rapper Lil' Romeo also stars.
