Marvel Studios has geared up its search for a new director to build the third installment of its "Iron Man" franchise after Jon Favreau has opted not to helm the pic.
Favreau launched the franchise for Marvel in 2008, with the film, that starred Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man's billionaire alter-ego Tony Stark, earning $585 million worldwide. This summer's follow up earned $621 million worldwide.
