U.S. rights to Meryl Streep's "
The Iron Lady" have been picked up by The Weinstein Co., which plans to release the Margaret Thatcher biopic later this year.
"Lady" is directed by Phyllida Lloyd and co-stars Jim Broadbent as Thatcher's husband, Denis. The film, the second collaboration between Lloyd and Streep following "Mamma Mia!," is written by Abi Morgan and produced by Damian Jones.
