Sony Get Andrei Kravchuk's 'The Italian' Rights

The Italian
Sony Pictures Classics has acquired North American rights to director Andrei Kravchuk's The Italian, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

The Russia's submission for a foreign-language film Oscar is set in 1942, the film centers on an abandoned 5-year-old boy living in a rundown orphanage in a small Russian village who is chosen by an Italian family for adoption.
