Lucas, Friedman Set in 'Motion'

Director Craig Lucas and screenwriter Elyse Friedman have signed on to the Matthew Perry, Ben Foster and Hilary Swank comedy "Laws of Motion."

Lucas, best known as the writer of "Prelude to a Kiss," "The Secret Lives of Dentists" and "Longtime Companion," wrote and directed the 2005 drama "The Dying Gaul." His upcoming projects include writing an Timothy Leary biopic for Leonardo DiCaprio's Appian Way and Elkins Entertainment. Friedman previously wrote the Pantheon Entertainment indie comedy "Suddenly Naked." Lucas is repped by Gersh Agency. Friedman is repped by Media Talent Group.
