New Line Take Kellers Con Movie Pitch

Leavenworth
New Line Cinema has added another con movie to its development slate, as the studio has paid mid- against high-six figures for the pitch "Leavenworth" from writer Jason Keller, reports The Hollywood Reporter.

The specific plot line of the film is being closely guarded, but it is described as a con movie in the spirit of "The Sting."

Keller was brought the original idea by Marc Evans and Industry Entertainment's Guymon Casady.

Keller, whose most recent credit is the TV movie "Big Shot: Confessions of a Campus Bookie" for FX, also has several other projects in the works.

He previously sold his original spec "Sugar's Sweet Science of Bruising" to New Line, and is currently adapting Mark Barrowcliffe's novel "Girlfriend 44" at Universal.
