Walden Media has tapped "Shrek" co-director Andrew Adamson to helm the live-action feature adaptation of "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe," reports Variety

Adamson joins award-winning writer Ann Peacock ("A Lesson Before Dying"), who recently signed on to adapt the C.S. Lewis novel.

Adamson made his feature-directing debut with "Shrek" alongside Vicky Jensen. He previously worked for PDI as visual effects supervisor for "Batman and Robin" and "Batman Forever" as well as "A Time to Kill" and "Angels in the Outfield." He also served as a visual effects artist on James Cameron's "True Lies."
