Gary Oldman In 'The Longest Yard' Talks

Gary Oldman is in talks to join Adam Sandler in Paramount Pictures The Longest Yard, says the Hollywood Reporter.

The project is a remake of the 1974 comedy-drama, being directed by Peter Segal. The 1974 movie centered on an incarcerated former pro quarterback who is asked by a sadistic warden to put together a team of inmates to play a team of burly guards. Oldman would play the warden.

Other stars signed up include Chris Rock and Burt Reynolds. Reynolds, who starred in the original, will play a coach in the remake.
