Director Dean Parisot ("Galaxy Quest") is near a deal to join Bruce Willis on "Me Again," a thriller with comic overtones that is developing momentum at Intermedia Films, reports Variety.
Parisot has been very selective in choosing a followup, sparked to the "Me Again" story of a man who wakes up one day next to a dead body, unable to remember who he is. He learns that he is pitted against another man, and only one of them is good, the other evil. He hopes he's the good one, but is hardly sure.
Sources said Parisot will come aboard and that a writer will be hired quickly.
Under Parisot's supervision, the scribe will give an American feel to a film whose original scribe is British. The hope is to get the rewrite done quickly so that the movie can go into production in early 2003.
