Phoenix Ride To Brixs 'Mile Zero'

Phoenix Pictures has picked up scribe Holly Brix's horror-thriller spec script "Mile Zero," reports The Hollywood Reporter.

Described as being in the same vein as "The Thing," the project follows a young woman's efforts to clear her father's name in a string of gruesome murders at a remote Alaskan oil facility. In doing so, she gets a job at the station, hoping to prove that the place is haunted.

She's in development on a script called "The Ark" with Barry Josephson and is polishing a new spec.
