David Goyer ("Blade" scribe) is attached to direct the indie feature "Mucho Mojo," reports Variety.
The comic thriller is an adaptation, being penned by Ted Tally, of Joe R. Lansdale's novel.
"Mojo" revolves around two friends who are left to clean up a recently deceased uncle's home, which one of the duo has inherited. They unearth a skeleton, leading to questions about the uncle's involvement in a series of local murders. Pic will shoot on location in east Texas.
"As an emerging director, I'm excited to interpret another writer's script, especially a screenwriter as accomplished as Ted Tally," said Goyer. "The project also provides me with the opportunity to be on the other side of the collaborative process."
