Queen Latifah is in final talks to star in Miramax Films' remake of the South Korean action-comedy
My Wife Is a Gangster, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Adapted by Marc Klein, 'Gangster' is about a female mob boss (Queen Latifah) who gets married to please her dying sister. She chooses a poor, unsuspecting dupe who has no idea what he's getting into in the hopes that he won't ask too many questions. However, he starts to wise up, and she starts to fall in love.
No director is on board, but the studio hopes to be in production by first quarter next year.
