Samuel L. Jackson and Eugene Levy are to star in New Line Cinema's fish-out-of-water comedy
The Man, says Variety.
The project, helmed by Les Mayfield, has been developing for the past two years specifically for Levy, who'll play a bumbling traveling salesman who stumbles into an ATF sting. Jackson will play an ATF agent who is forced to make an ersatz partner of the salesman, lest his undercover operation go awry.
"It's a darned funny movie," said New Line Cinema's Toby Emmerich, "with a great comedic alchemy reminiscent of DeNiro and Grodin in 'Midnight Run' and Chan and Tucker in 'Rush Hour.' "
