Focus Features have bought the rights to director Peter Cattaneo's family drama
Opal Dreams, says the Hollywood Reporter.
The feature centers on the story of a young girl (Sapphire Boyce) with two imaginary friends. When they "disappear" and she becomes ill, her older brother (Christian Byers) gathers her opal-mining father (Vince Colosimo), mother (Jacqueline McKenzie) and many members of her Australian Outback community to lend her support.
The project was shot on location in South Australia, and is slated for a spring release or later.
