20th Century Fox is to adapt John Nance's novel
Orbit for the bigscreen, says Variety.
The story centers on a civilian who wins the chance to join a space shuttle flight, only to find himself alone and adrift in space when the rest of the crew dies.
Scribe Sheldon Turner has been hired to adapt for the project. The book is due for publication in 2006.
