Amber Entertainment is heading to Paris, snapping up rights to Paula McClain's "
The Paris Wife: A Novel," centered on the relationship between Ernest Hemingway and his wife Hadley during the 1920s in Paris.
Amber's Ileen Maisel is producing and teaming with Julian Fellowes ("Gosford Park"), who is exec producing. Amber's tapped London-based Isabelle Dupuy to adapt from McClain's tome, which details the Hemingways' time in Paris when they become part of the fabled "Lost Generation" -- including Gertrude Stein, Ezra Pound and F. Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald -- and face a marital crisis.
