Read My LipsParamount Pictures has bought the English-language remake rights to the French romance-film noir "Read My Lips," reports Variety.
The French film, directed by Jacques Audiard and scripted by Audiard and Tonino Benacquista, has grossed more than $1.2 million in the U.S. since being released in July.
The off-center project revolves around the relationship between a 35-year-old half-deaf secretary (Emmanuelle Devos) and a 25-year-old thief on parole (Vincent Cassel). Devos won the French Cesar award for best actress.
