Paramount Pictures have bought scribe Mark Rosner (
The Rock) on board to write for the police drama
Red White Black and Blue.
The film, set on the bicentennial date of July 4, 1976, centers on a trio of Los Angeles vice cops who are framed by a local drug czar while trying to uncover a large shipment of narcotics.
'Red White Black and Blue' was originally developed at Paramount and written by Andrew Kevin Walker (
Seven) before going into turnaround to Universal, where Walter Hill was in line to direct in 1997.
