Paramount Pictures have bought scribe Mark Rosner (The Rock) on board to write for the police drama Red White Black and Blue.

The film, set on the bicentennial date of July 4, 1976, centers on a trio of Los Angeles vice cops who are framed by a local drug czar while trying to uncover a large shipment of narcotics.

'Red White Black and Blue' was originally developed at Paramount and written by Andrew Kevin Walker (Seven) before going into turnaround to Universal, where Walter Hill was in line to direct in 1997.
