Director Chris Noonan has not directed a movie since his 1995 worldwide hit
Babe, but is soon to come out of retirement with
Rule of the Bone and
Crash Dummies: Adventures in the Far-Gone, according to Variety.
He's already casting
Rule of the Bone, a coming-of-age story he has adapted from a Russell Banks novel.
The plan is to shoot in Jamaica and either the U.S. or Canada.
Crash Dummies: Adventures in the Far-Gone, a fantasy about families and friendships, was created by U.S. producer/director Doug Lodato (
Wild Wild West).
Noonan is writing the script, which several writers previously worked on, and will produce. He said it hasn't been determined yet whether he and Lodato will co-direct, Noonan will direct alone, or whether it will go to another director.
