Emily VanCamp To Take Lead In 'The Ring 2'

The Ring Two

Emily VanCamp ("Everwood") is the front runner to star as the young female lead in horror sequel The Ring 2, according to Variety.

VanCamp would join Naomi Watts, David Dorfman and Simon Baker which is to be directed by Japanese helmer Hideo Nakata. Sissy Spacek will have a minor role in the film.

Shooting on The Ring 2 is to begin next month.
