Simon West is set to direct the adaptation of Mark Haskell Smith novel

The story is about a reformed sex-addicted bass player who gets dragged to Thailand for a vacation by his ex-supermodel wife. While in Thailand, his wife is kidnapped by Thai pirates raising money to buy a new boat.
