Revolution Studios has paid low against midsix figures for the spec script "Shrinking Violet" for Julia Roberts' Shoelace Prods. to produce, reports Variety.
Sale marks the first feature by "Sex and the City" scribes Julie Rotenberg and Elisa Zuritsky. Spec is about a twentysomething girl who lies to her family and pretends she actually has a fulfilling relationship with a great boyfriend -- when the man in question is actually just her shrink. Things get complicated when she can't decide what would be worse news for her straitlaced family: to learn she's in therapy or that her relationship is a fraud.
Roberts, who next appears in Steven Soderbergh's "Full Frontal" will produce the pic with producing partner Deb Shindler, though she will not star.
