Jay Roach To Produce Comedy 'Shy Guy'

Shy Guy
Dan Greaney and Jeff Poliquin are to write the comedy Shy Guy with Jay Roach producing, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

"Guy" tells the story of a shy, retiring bookbinder who resists his impulsive, hard-partying brother's efforts to blast him out of his shell.

Greaney is a 10-year vet of "The Simpsons," on which he is a writer-producer. He also was a writer/co-executive producer on "The Michael Richards Show." Poliquin was a writer's assistant on "The Simpsons Movie," where he met Greaney, and the two decided to team up. They were writers on Everyman's "Borat," working on the road with Sacha Baron Cohen. Greaney and Poliquin are repped by the Rothman Brecher Agency.
