Splendid Pictures has acquired Neil Elman's urban action script 'Silverfish' for low-six against mid-six figures to produce in conjunction with Newman/Tooley Films, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
'Silverfish' revolves around a high-tech, high-stakes gambling ring that arranges early prison releases for the fiercest of convicts. The ex-cons are then trained in martial arts weapons combat, transformed into modern-day gladiators and pitted against one another in arenas that turn the island of Manhattan into a modern-day Roman coliseum.
