Sarsgaard & Goldwyn Set For 'Small Tragedy'

Small Tragedy
Peter Sarsgaard and Tony Goldwyn are to star in Craig Lucas' play adaptation, Small Tragedy, says Production Weekly.

The feature follows Nathaniel (Goldwyn), the director of a fringe play in London, who starts auditioning and casting 'Oedipus Rex', and no one suspects that he is the indie movie director of cult status who mysteriously disappeared from the scene a few years ago.

As the cast goes through rehearsals and get to know each other, they learn a few surprising truths about the nature of love, loss, friendship, betrayal and forgiveness.

Sarsgaard will play Hakija, a young Bosnian economics student who turns out to be the group's gifted actor. The project is scheduled to begin production in London in the middle of April.
