I was never too crazy about the Spiderman theatrical franchise, I guess it's the media hype that always peaked my interest in the "Spiderman" trilogy however, I will not leave out that I actually enjoyed the first installment of Spiderman. There was lead actor Toby Maguire in the first installment of Spiderman who portrayed a young and vulnerable high school kid who didn't realize his calling of being the word's super hero and savior of the world, fighting and riding the world of villainous phantoms.

In this third installment of "Spiderman 3" director Sam Raimi bring on an entourage of new villains that flashes the screen, with a hosts of slapstick, and eye catching special effects, along with a final show down of villains, and Spiderman that's sure to entertain audiences. But don't look for much of a plot or a well-balanced story line in this installment of Spiderman 3. The plot and sequence of the film just doesn't flow eveningly. After all its creator Marval comics never in my view and opinion created a real storyline, but always presented us with a gloried comic book and TV animated series of a profiled super hero called Spiderman. After watching this movie at its premier opening last night I left disappointed. However, I emphasize Spiderman 3 does offer very entertaining slick, slapstick special effects, and decent action scenes that keep the viewer's attention. "Spiderman 3" isn't totally disappointing.

Toby Maquire in his portrayal as Peter, Spiderman comes back with a slightly different twist. This time he tackles three villains including a black Spiderman generated from an extraterrestrial viscous creeping material that transforms itself into an identical looking double of Spiderman with a slight fiendish look. When Peter is engulfed with the strange material it converts his demeanor into a foreboding monstrous persona. Later we see the incredible Sandman, (Thomas Haden Church) an ex con and villain who killed Peter's uncle in Spiderman emerges into a colossal sandman who goes on a hideous spree of crime. We also see the son of the villainous Green Goblin who sets on a trail of revenge against Spiderman because he killed of his father.

As this movie goes on we see many interesting events that lead up to the final battle between Spiderman, and the Sandman a battle that surprisingly grips the audience, and leaves them with a jolting and entertaining climax.

Final thoughts

I've pretty much expressed my opinion about this movie. Again don't look for much of a plot or a well organized written script moreover, just expect a big splash of entertaing special effects and decent action scenes ultimately that's what saves this movie from total failure. You'll be very disappointed with the dry acting by the cast. As for the cinematography it's manages to hold the viewers attention with its gory, and dark scenes, and a urban New York City ambiance. My final recommendation, and thoughts on Spiderman 3, is I don't expect this movie to be a box office smash despite its many, many promotions, and hype of it possibly gaining the accomplishment of a box office hit. For die-hard fans of this Marval comic and cinematic version of Spiderman 3 this movie is for you.
