thank goodness soemnoe showed laura linney how to hold the camera. it would have been devastating if, in the last scene of the play, she had focused with her hand over the lens.really though, i thought the play was so well done. they really hit on a number of issues that we really do deal with, covering conflict, getting messed up in myriad ways and then coming home. i would say that they, perhaps, overplayed the visual historian vs. vulture issue, but that can be forgiven.when a suicide-bomb victim, hair smoking, face and hands covered with blood, personally requests a pass on the photography, most of us would comply, unlike the the character in the play. then again, that's why a play is considered drama.
