Scribe J.J. Abrams Still Hopeful For 'Superman'

Scribe J.J. Abrams says that he expects Warner Bros. Superman to hopefully move forward, after writing the script for the move.

"I'm hopeful," he told SciFi-Wire. "It was a blast to [write]. I'm crossing my fingers. I hope they do it, because I'd love to see that movie. I love working with the director, McG, so we'll see what happens. I'd love to make it work."

Abrams says that it's the studios turn to make the next move, after asking for many drafts of the script. "I've been working on it for a year and a half," Abrams said. "So it's gone through many, many iterations."

The project is still looking for the actor to play the lead role of Superman. "There are some candidates," he adds, although he was reluctant to give away any names.
