Universal Picks Up 'The Saint Of Dragons'

The Saint of Dragons
Universal Pictures has paid high-six against seven figures for Jason Hightman's manuscript "The Saint of Dragons," reports The Hollywood Reporter

The manuscript, which will go out to publishers shortly, is described as a dark adventure in the vein of "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone." Set in the present, the story follows a 14-year-old boy whose long-lost father comes back into his life, telling him that he's a descendant of St. George the dragon hunter. The boy then embarks on his new role as a dragon slayer, encountering a breed of dragons who have evolved to look like humans.
