Wellspring are coming aboard for director Jonathan Caouette's highly personal film about growing up with his schizophrenic mother
Tarnation, according to the Hollywood Reporter. The studio will co-producer and will provide completing financing. It will distribute the film worldwide.
Caouette is said to have assembled the movie on Apple's iMovie for a reported $218.32. It premiered at the 2004 Sundance Film Festival, where it enjoyed critical success for its unique combination of home videos, diary entries and snapshots. A theatrical release is planned for fourth-quarter 2004, with a video/DVD release to follow.
