Spielbergs Assistant Director Takes On Sasquatch

They Call Him Sasquatch

Neal McDonough David Venghaus will direct "They Call Him Sasquatch" from a script he penned, reports Variety.

He served as an assistant director on Steven Spielberg's "Catch Me If You Can," "Minority Report" and "A.I. Artificial Intelligence."

"Sasquatch" follows the exploits of a motley group of Bigfoot enthusiasts in the mountains of Northern California, where a recent sighting of the creature has occurred. A cash reward is offered for the capture of the beast, which spurs everyone to begin scheming to win the money.

Neal McDonough ("Minority Report") is set to star, along with Bresnahan, Garry Marshall, Warren Berlinger, Chuck McCann and Vene Arcoraci.

The movie goes into production in October in Big Bear, Calif.
