This Side of the Truth

Ricky Gervais, co-director of the upcoming fantasy film This Side of Truth, told SCI FI Wire that it's important to see eye to eye with someone if you're co-directing. Speaking in an interview at the Toronto International Film Festival, Gervais said that co-directing the film with Matthew Robinson was "not complicated."

Gervais added: "You see eye to eye, and you do the script together. There's an advantage to being the writer and the director. You live with that script for a year." Gervais is now editing the film with Robinson, who also co-wrote the comedy, which stars Jonah Hill, Jennifer Garner, Jason Bateman, Patrick Stewart and Tina Fey in a story about a world in which no one lies--that is, until Gervais' character discovers the concept.
