Kevin Pollak is set to direct an independent feature based on a script he wrote, reports The Hollywood Reporter.
The actor and stand-up comic said on the sidelines of the Just For Laughs comedy festival in Montreal. Pollak ("The Usual Suspects," "Grumpy Old Men") described the untitled project as a "psychological mystery" along the lines of "Suspects."
"I like such films where the audience is not just voyeur but must think and get involved more," he said.
Pollak said he is currently assembling a cast but would not discuss which actors he was trying to attract.
The film is slated for release next year.
