Perez Sells Spies To DreamWorks

Untitled: Mark Perez Spy Comedy
DreamWorks Pictures has paid mid-six against low-seven figures for an untitled pitch by screenwriter Mark Perez, reports Variety.

Subject matter of the high-concept spy action comedy is being kept under wraps. Former CAA agent-turned-producer Rob Paris came up with an original idea for the project and took it to Perez, who reworked the pitch.

Perez delivered the pitch to DreamWorks Pictures head of production Michael De Luca and exec Mark Sourian. Along with his MediaChase managers Brian Lutz and Todd Lieberman.

Project marks the second for Perez at DreamWorks after the studio bought high-concept laffer "Life Saver."
